After 2 years of wrongly being on the receiving end of constant corporate and personal abuse, 2 years of contending other people’s lies, fraudulent activity, theft and skulduggery of the most advanced kind, Scottish Snooker Ltd has been derecognised by sportscotland as the National Governing Body for snooker in Scotland. Yes, even sportscotland have succumbed to a mugging of gargantuan proportions.
As I write, Scotland is now without an NGB – a wholly avoidable situation and one which we offered an immediate solution for in order to avoid a period of ‘limbo’. An offer that we were told “would never be acceptable” to Alan Craig and his hangers on. An offer that would have given peace a chance and brought as many willing folks together as there existed a will. For the good of snooker, that offer remains on the table.
