Roy,
My comments are a personal opinion.
I dont particularly think running Billiards separate from Snooker is the best way to go.
What I do think though is that the EBOS folk have an opportunity to demonstrate their expertise to WPBSA with the offer to "help" run the game at world level.
Given the commercial viability of Billiards, I would not expect it to figure highly in BH's plans.
But, I do think that the WPBSA would be willing to look at ways of keeping the World Championship version of it alive.

Once again it comes back to only being viable if good folk give of their time free for the love of the game.
Sadly, that can be too big an ask of any normal person in the current economical climate.

PS If you need any help with anything - I would be willing to give you a hand on the Scottish front.
