Correct Bud, just got the paperwork from Ailsa.
Sounded like a great match.

No offence meant, but it was great to see young Ian pushing on from some great form he had built up down at the home Internationals.
He played a couple of matches down there, where he was absolutely flying and playing some great stuff. He played one match were he won 3 nil and won every frame in one visit - Great to watch.
Pity we did'nt have a full strength team down there around the likes of Ian & Co.

A couple of others who did well in the Mens Team down there was Sean Boxall and Mick Maguire both played solid and steady over the week with impeccable conduct throughout. But then again, that's experience and Patriotism for you.

As for McSorley and Dunbar - I think...... like myself............"Their best days are behind them!" :p

Good to see Dumfries' Jamie Stewart stretch the U16 High Break this season to 62 in his "derby" match with Axl Menlove at U16 Event 3.
Axl actually went on to win this high quality match 3-2.
With 5 events still to play in the U16 division this season, all the lads have a long way to go to get near matching last seasons superb 104 from Bonnyriggs Michael Leslie.
C'mon lads let's see another ton or two on our U16 High Break Board.
That way we can all see the marked improvement from our youngsters.

I don't think a Max has ever been done in any Scottish Snooker Event.
I cant ever remember hearing of one in the former SB&SA or SSA events of the past either.
Only one I remember was John Rea doing one in the Scottish Professional Championship around 20 years ago.
Maybe some of the older guys know different.

Footnote: In 1986 I played Euan Henderson in the Quarters of the Scottish Amateur Championship from 4-0 down I got back to 4-4 and then the big fellow knocked a red down the rail and proceeded to do a 135 clearance!
