McGill Blitz's The Field Once More !........... On way to making it 3 out of 3 This Season.

The 3rd Ranking Event in the Under 16's Category took place on Sunday 6th of November 05 at The Leith State Snooker Club, Great Junction Street, Leith, Edinburgh.
Once more, Glasgow's boy wonder Anthony McGill lifted the Winners Trophy (A Beautiful Glass Sculpted Plaque). This one made it 3 out of 3 for young Ants. The only question mark on his triumph is the fact that he lost 3 frames in his 5 matches whilst storming through the field............Is his mantle slipping? Or are the others closing the gap?
For the sake of competition in the under 16 Category, I hope it is the latter!
Keir Forteith was the first to chink Anthony's armour by taking a frame off him in the Quarter final match. In the Semi Final match, the fast improving Ross Fernie also managed a frame on his side of the scoresheet. The Final itself saw David Paterson unable to do much more than Keir or Ross, as he too went down 4-1 to Anthony in the Final. David took home a half size version of the Glass trophy claimed by Anthony for his achievement of finishing as Runner-Up in Event 3.

Hi Ants,

Has your Dad been down to the B&Q for more shelves to put up around your table yet. Looks like you will be needing more space if you maintain this form all season mate. Well done once more Ants.

I'm looking forward to see if either you or Richy McDonald can get your names on the Senior & Junior Scottish National Trophies for the 3rd year on the spin. Now that really would be a great achievement for either of you.
PS And before you ask.....NO ! you don't get to keep the National trophies for winning them 3 Times in a row. Jings man, they cost a fortune!
The National Trophies will stay as they now are, and that will be as a permanent record of the Great players we have had down through the years, thus building the heritage and history of our game at National Level.
