Well Done to all the lads that had fine results yesterday to hoist themselves into the berths for the Euro U19's.
I'm sure it will be a trip of a lifetime for all and hopefully ALL involved can do themselves proud.

Michael: Thanks for your quick notification that's you in "confirmed Red"
Funding: Scottish Snooker are running lots of different fundraising initiatives to help International players this year. As has been stated before, those who support the fundraising events will receive financial help and support.
So get yourself/family/friends along to the events and help yourself.
As to the level of funding: The amounts can only be confirmed once we know how much is raised, but rest assured all amounts will be evenly and fairly distributed amongst all who participate.

Robert: I have confirmed you in Red as Reserve.
Should Anthony or Eden decide not to go, you will move up automatically.

Eden: Can you let us know ASAP if you are attending?

Anthony: Can you let us know ASAP if you are attending?

Thats funny, I thought the reason why prize money was held back was so that international players would receive funding. I must have missed something.

I'm gonna go to PIOS so won't be going to Russia.

Firstly well done to Ants & Michael on their wins at the events this weekend as for how much funding there is, this depends how much the speakers night brings in to go along with what is already in the bank ,how much each player will receive will depend on wether they support the fundraising events this was made clear at the AGM and also when i spoke to players two weeks ago at the Creamery Snooker Club before the start of ranking event 4, we have various events this year the first of which is the speakers night on the 13th of March we then have the bag packing weekend on 25th & 26th of April ,we will also be having a race night the date for this is still to be arranged.:p

Is it the case that if you dont do any fundraising you dont get any funding at all for the international representation?

Just, as Ants said, i thought the reason there was no prize money this season was so all the prize money would go into funding the international representatives.

Am i wrong?

Good luck Michael and the rest of the boys, honestly if you keep up your current form I see you as a dark horse to win it.

For your clarification.
Funding from SSL Funds (Bank Account) will be pretty low.

Once rest of season financial commitments are made then the remainder of the funds will be used for international funding as was stated and voted on at the AGM.
The treasurer will inform us of what is in the kitty once the relevant calculations and commitments have been taken into consideration.

Additional Fundraising monies will be distributed amongst all the players who actively support/participate.

So if you would like a slice of both - get behind your NGB.

Remember, this is a very bad financial year for SSL due to the 2008 Euro events and various other reasons.
Next season will see SSL return to a much more sound financial situation.
The foundations of which are already in place.

Hope this clarifies the matter for you.

Hi Guys,

Just received this invitation from Olga Safronova of the Russian Snooker Federation.
It is a Guided Bus Tour around St Petersburg on the 22nd of March 2009.
It only cost 10 euros but they need to know in advance the numbers for the bus.
Your match schedule will not affect being able to go as they have two different tour times.
All Players, Referees, Officials, parents, and supporters, are invited.

If you are interested in going please post your interest on here and I will add you to the "confirmed red" list below, and then I will pre-book your tour with Olga before we leave. (Just pay when you get there)

Tour name list is on The ETC Thread

Dear Sirs, Madams,

Federation of Billiard Sport of Russia is pleased to suggest to all of your delegates an excursion around the St. Petersburg. During the 3-hours bus tour you will see the historical center of the city and its most significant architectural ensembles. A professional English-speaking guide will follow you during the whole trip.

Regardless the match schedule anyone of you could use this possibility as we could organize it both in the morning and in the evening.

The date: 22th of March, Sunday.
Time: 08:30 a.m. and 18:00 p.m.
Price: 10 EUR per person
The buses will pick you up at the hotels and bring you back.

In order to arrange the excursions we kindly ask you to let us now about the number of delegates who would like to undertake the trip towards the end of this week (Sunday, the 15th).

Yours in sport,
Olga Safronova

Just like to say a big thank you to my Sponsor Mr Martin Fraser who is the owner of the Edinburgh electrical company "ELECTRO CHECK". My dad met up with him tonight for a meeting and he very kindly handed over £400 in cash and they both decided that Me, Robert Carlisle, Eden Sharav and Ross Higgins would all receive a equal share of £100 each for spending money in Russia!

My dad will hand the cash over to the players when he meets up in Russia.

Thanks again!
